Lily Lapierre

Lily Lapierre is a colourful choreographer, interpreter and teacher. Choreographer of a dozen pieces presented in Quebec, Montreal and New York (, π après, Tentation , And then you go…,Paperasse-Carapace). Lily likes to step out of the box which explains an unusual course, including a bachelor in biochemistry followed by a bachelor in dance, creation profile at UQÀM. She continued her training in Bali (Indonesia) and studied for 3 months the Balinese traditional dance and then nine months, in New York, with the aim to perfect her training in modern dance at the Limòn Institute. In Montreal, her home-base, she carries out several training classes in various styles such as Contact Improvisation with Lisa Nelson and AHHA Productions (Andrew de Lotbinière Harwood, Marc Boivin, Peter Binham) in January 2005 and 2006 and Nancy Stark Smith in November 2007. She complited her teacher training in Hatha Yoga at Satyam School in 2008. Lastly, because she has already been interested for few years in projects at the margin of the scene, since 2006 she takes part regularly in Grasshoppa Dance Exchange . Since September 2007, she is the co-director of Fleur d’asphalte dance and creation studio.
