Fleur d'asphalte is already 3 months old and we are happy to celebrate its first Christmas! We are taking a short break of classes, but we will be very enthusiastic to welcome you in 2008.
The contemporary dance classes will begin January 8th, all the other classes will start the 14th (Pilates, Yoga, Tango and Aiki Jui-Jutsu).
The studio will be available for rentals during the Holidays, and we will pursue our Thursday Tango practices with no interruption.
These contemporary technique classes are designed for intermediate to professional dancers who want to explore a wide range of movement patterns and scores to warm-up pathways of the body, the senses and relationships to the space and each other. Maureen will integrate her experience in Pilates as well as the teachings of mentors including Peter Boneham, Sylvie Desrosiers, and Andrew Harwood.
Fleur d'asphalte is very happy to have Maureen Shea come and give an intensive work shop on the art of Hopping !
The Grasshoppa Dance Exchange is dedicated to the fine and not-so-fine art of Hopping. Hops are unannounced performances that take place outdoors in public places for unsuspecting observers who are not solicited for financial contributions. Hops are inspired by the environment in which they hoppen (natural, human, etc.). A Hop may carry a theme, address a reality or propose something altogether different.
