CONTINUUM: AWAKENING THE FLUID BODY WITH LINDA RABIN

Only on September 25th 2011 from 12:30 to 5pm

These classes will introduce participants to the basic elements of Continuum, a
creative practice in self-care and wellness. We will explore a variety of
breaths, resonant sounds, fluid movement, tracking sensation and open attention.
Open to all levels of experience .

Somatic Education Inspired by Moshe Feldenkrais Method

This exploratory workshop explores various ways of motion, awakening the curiosity and the pleasure of being in action without the pressure of performance. Based on the learning experience of a felt proprioception, this extensive workshop will allow you to investigate various dimensions of the movement.

Near-the-floor training

This training is conceived and inspired especially for Contact-Improvisation followers. It is build to prepare the body to receive, take and transfer weight, through techniques and exercises of contemporary dance. We’ll also explore different ways of travelling near the floor in a fluid and controlled manner.

SÉRIE À POIL: OPENING OF EXHIBITION

the exhibition is open until August 5th, 2011.

The opening of the exhibition: Série à poils from the artist Isabelle Tétrault, to raise funds for international cooperation in Africa.

Mi-Lune Performances : July 30th, 2011

The Mi-Lune Performances have been created for a wide range of emergent artists. Novelty of this season, after the performance, the participant artists will benefit from the comments of a well known artist. It’s the ideal space to explore new creations.

You need a space to create this summer? You have a choreographic project in-process? Fleur d’asphalte invites you to submit your project for its summer residence call. Projects must be articulated, original and professional.
Studio hours will be offered to selected artists according to their needs, in july and august 2011. Artists might be available to present an excerpt at the Mi-Lune Performance, July 30th.
