Stéphanie Bernard
Stéphanie Bernard graduated from ‘’The School of Toronto Dance Theatre’’ and now works as a dancer, choreographer, teacher and event coordinator. She’s been co-directing Fleur d’asphalte since december 2009 and recently completed Can-Fit Pro’ ‘’Older Adult Specialist’’ course. She taught dance at the YMCA (Toronto) and at few occasions in Montreal.
Clémence Trilling
Clémence is specialized instructor in mom-baby yoga and prenatal yoga. She sees a yoga class as a special time to be with the baby in movement and breath.
The Kripalu yoga proposed by Clémence is playfull yet rigourous. Her occuptionnal therapy training allows her to explore deeper the aspects of child devellopment. It also allows her to relate yoga and anatomical changes in pregnancy and birth.
Chantal Vanasse
CHANTAL VANASSE revolves around world elite sport for several years. At 18 she redirected his interests to contemporary dance, in the dance program at Montmorency College. She then completed a BA in dance at the University of Quebec at Montreal, where she discovers the context of Somatic Education. She subsequently earned a DESS (Diploma of Specialized Higher Studies) in somatic education oriented Feldenkrais method, giving it a status of practitioner.
Marie-Joëlle Hadd
Marie-Joëlle Hadd is an emerging dancer and choreographer. Her career as a gymnast begins when her mother finds her seated on top of the refrigerator at age three. From then on, she spends most of her time upside down and Viagym, and continues to experiment with gravitational limitations from the various pieces of furniture in their house, much to the despair of her mother. Despite all this flying in the air, Marie-Joelle finds time to deepen her gymnastics abilities through classical ballet, tap-dance, jazz, and funky.
Noémie Chabot
Passionate about health, the wonders of human body and its incredible potential for change, Noemie is first and foremost a Structural Integration therapist. After studying with Tom Myers (Anatomy Trains), she graduated in 2008, and now helps people free themselves from chronic pain, improve performance, and simply rediscover the joy of being at ease in their own bodies. In addition to her commitment to continuing education in Structural Integration, she regularly participates in movement workshops, such as Continuum, Contact Improvisation, Gyrokinesis and contemporary dance.
Lily Lapierre
Lily Lapierre is a colourful choreographer, interpreter and teacher. Choreographer of a dozen pieces presented in Quebec, Montreal and New York (, π après, Tentation , And then you go…,Paperasse-Carapace). Lily likes to step out of the box which explains an unusual course, including a bachelor in biochemistry followed by a bachelor in dance, creation profile at UQÀM.
Armand Martel
Since 1995 Armand Martel develops skills in dance around the improvised work partner to develop teaching dance partner for professional dance. His approach is to revisit several areas in the light of the relationship dance. His method of work is a constant back and forth between theory and practice. It draws its research through observation, practice, education and reading books and articles that can carry a new light on the relationship in dance and teaching. Armand is particularly interested in somatic education as a tool for learning and teaching.
Karine Rathle
Dancer, choreographer, teacher, rehearsal director and researcher in dance and dance science, Karine Rathle is also co-founder and co-director of Fleur d’asphalte, a dance and creation studio in Montreal (Canada). She has a MSc degree in Dance Science from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, an internationally renowned vocational dance institute.
